In the current global climate training organisations are switching their face-to-face institution based training to online delivery models. The challenge with this is quality online learning takes time to develop, and right now organisations don’t have the luxury of extensive development time. We need to be able to move our training online immediately to ensure continuity of a service to students and keep them progressing in their qualification. There are a range of models for delivering online learning. For organisations who have mainly delivered face-to-face programs one of the easiest and fastest transitions is to move to a virtual classroom environment. This is when the students and the trainer join together online at the same time for instruction, collaboration and discussion. This session will be delivered using Zoom, but the content will be platform generic to enable the concepts to be applied to other delivery platforms. While the practice of a virtual classroom will be modelled, there will be discussion around other facets of online delivery.
