About this webinar

Clustering units of competency to reflect workplace roles and real world tasks or functions provides opportunities to focus learning and or assessment on whole work activities rather than sub tasks or components of a work activity.

Clustering is educationally good practice.

But what exactly is ‘clustering’? There are many, mostly negative, myths associated with clustering, such as: auditors have advised clustering is not compliant, no more than 3 units can be clustered, clustering is only for higher level qualifications and even that its purpose is ‘to save costs’.

Join this webinar to bust your myths and understand more about the benefits, the challenges and the reasons for clustering – for the learner, the trainer/assessor and the RTO.

Key topics covered within webinar

By the end of this webinar, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Understand the benefits, challenges and opportunities of clustering units of competency
  • Understand why, when and what to cluster
