This Velg2Go online course is part of a 2-part series which equips Queensland School RTO Managers and VET Teachers with essential skills and knowledge to undertake quality assured operations within a school RTO.

With supportive mentoring from the course facilitator, the course provides a range of learning outcomes that provide quality platforms for training and assessment, governance and administration, training package fundamentals and operational planning whilst embedding a simply aligned relationship to compliance requirements as they apply.

  • Length of course:  6 Weeks
    • Course commences: 18 February 2019
    • Course concludes: 29 March 2019

(The course will open 1 week prior to commencement date to allow learners the ability to access and navigate the Canvas platform.  Similarly, the course will remain open 1 week after the course concludes, to allow access to any course resources)

Melanie Alexandra

Consultant

Melanie has held a variety of roles within the Academic and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sectors over the past 25 years including trainer and assessor, Head of Faculty, Program Manager, RTO Manager, and Head of Quality Assurance and has won awards for practice excellence in teaching and learning, and outstanding leadership.

In recent years, Melanie worked as a Senior Lead Auditor, conducting regulatory audits and registrations against the current VET Quality Framework and Standards for RTOs 2015, and has authored and built a number of online professional development programs to support VET practitioners nationally.

Today Melanie works as an Education Services Advisor of Vocational Education, Skills and Training for Queensland schools and provides consulting support services to RTOs as a VET Consultant in her own right.
