National VET Conference

Registration

Q. When can I register for the 2021 National VET Conference?
A. Registrations are now open for the 2021 National VET Conference, please  here to register.

Q. When do registrations for the 2021 National VET Conference close?
A. Registrations for the 2021 National VET Conference will close at 11:59pm on 31 August 2021. Please note: Any registrations received after this date can be processed manually.

Q. Can I do a walk-in registration?
A. Absolutely, please see a Velg Training Member at the Velg Training Registration Desk to arrange your registration for the conference.

Q. I have registered for the National VET Conference however I am unable to attend, can I send someone in my place?
A. Yes you can, please note however that all name changes for the event needs to be submitted in writing to Velg Training later to ensure that the name tag/lanyard reflects the new attendee details. Please email events@velgtraining.com.

Q. Is there a one day ticket option?
A. There is no one day ticket event type available for purchase.

Group Discounts

Q. There are a number of staff at my organisation that want to attend the National VET Conference, can I receive a volume discount?
A. Yes, group discounts are available when registering multiple attendees for this event. If five or more attendees are registered for an event, a discount of 5% will apply. This will apply for up to and including nine attendees. If 10 or more attendees are registered for an event, a discount of 10% will apply. Please email events@velgtraining.com if you have any questions regarding group discounts.

Dietary Requirements

Q. Can you cater for my dietary requirements?
A. Yes, please ensure provide details to Velg Training of any dietary requirements by emailing events@velgtraining.com or going into your profile on our website and updating the dietary fields there.

Q. If I have supplied special dietary requirements where would I locate them?
A. All dietary requirements are located on the clearly marked catering stations located inside the Exhibition Hall.

Q. I forgot to advise of my dietary requirements.
A. Please speak to a Velg Training staff member to see if the venue is able to accommodate your dietary requirements on the day.

Refunds

Q. Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend the conference on the day?
A. Cancellations received and acknowledged at least 30 days prior to the commencement of any conference will be entitled to a refund less an administration fee of 20% of the registration fees paid. No refunds will be provided if cancellation is made within 30 days of any conference, however, a substitute delegate will be welcome upon written notice to events@velgtraining.com.

General

Q. What is the COVID-19 Safe Plan for the Venue?
A. Please refer to the COVID Safe – Health & Hygiene Management Plan issued by the venue

Q. Will there be tea and coffee facilities?
A. Tea and Coffee will be made available during all break times throughout the event.

Q. Will delegates be catered for across the event?
A. All delegates will receive morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Q. Where do I go when I arrive at the venue?
A. Please head to the Velg Training Registration Desk which is just outside Hall 2.

Q. Will I receive a Statement of Attendance for my professional development records?
A. Yes, a Statement of Attendance are sent out electronically the week following the conference to all those who are attended the event.

Q. How do I provide feedback on the conference?
A. You will receive electronic resources within a week of the event, which includes a link to the Feedback Survey. Alternatively you can provide direct feedback to events@velgtraining.com

Q. I would like to interact with my peers at the conference via social media, will there be wireless internet available?
A. Yes, the venue provides access to free WIFI whilst in the centre.

Q. Can I come and go from sessions?
A. Absolutely, but please be understanding of other participants and keep disruptions to a minimum.

Q. I am interested in a number of sessions and some of these conflict. Is there any way I can access the training for conflicting sessions?
A. Yes all attendees will receive a pre-recordings and resources for each session at the conference and these will be available when the electronic resources are sent out within seven (7) business days of the Conference.

Q. I have registered for the Recordings On-Demand Ticket – what happens now?
A. At the commencement of the conference, you will receive all electronic resources (pre-recording sessions, PowerPoints and additional session resources) within seven (7) business days of the Conference.

Q. Do I need to carry the lanyard with me?
A. Yes, you need to wear your lanyard at all times as this will grant you access to all areas of the Conference.

Q. What happens if I forget my lanyard on Day 2?
A. Please visit a Velg Training Staff member at the Registration Desk and they will arrange for a new lanyard to be printed.

Q. Where are the lifts located?
A. The lifts are located on each level within the venue and are clearly marked.

Q. Where are the toilets located?
A. Multiple toilets are located on each level within the venue and are clearly marked.

Q. Do you have a Cloak Room?
A. Yes, we will have a cloak room available for all attendees on both days of the conference.

Q. Is there anywhere I can charge my phone/laptop?
A. Yes, there are plenty of power outlets throughout the centre.

Q. Where can I find a First Aid Kit?
A. A First Aid Kit is found at the venue’s Registration Desk located on the Ground Floor.

Q. Is there parking at the venue?
A. Undercover car spaces are available for short-term parking. Parking is located on-site at the northern end of the building and can be accessed via the Gold Coast Highway and TE Peters Drive. Parking costs a flat rate of $12 per day and is open 24hrs a day.  For more information & prices on parking at the Centre click here.

Q. Are there Disability parking bays?
A. Disability parking bays are conveniently located near the central lifts.

Q. Where can I get a Taxi from?
A. Taxis are conveniently located along the Gold Coast Highway. If you would like to organise a taxi service please ask at the Reception Desk or use the courtesy phone located in the foyer.

Q. Is there a Pharmacy near the Conference Centre?
A. The closest Pharmacy is located in the Miami Keys Shopping Centre on the Sunshine Boulevard.

Q. Is there a preferred hotel option?

Q. What is Velg Training’s Privacy Collection Statement?
A. Velg Training Pty Ltd. (“Velg Training” or “we” “us” or “our”) collects your personal information (such as your name, contact details and company/employer) directly from you when you request that we consider your application for membership, sign up as a subscriber, enrol in an event or submit an online entry form, or otherwise.

We collect your personal information for the purposes of keeping you informed of the services we offer and developments that may be of interest to you, notifying you of events that we are holding and running surveys to improve our services or services offered. 

If we do not collect your personal information as described, we may not be able to provide you with the information you have requested or provide certain services to you.

We may disclose some or all of this personal information to third parties with whom we may collaborate for events or training sessions, service providers providing services such as marketing or IT management. In the case of the National VET Conference, disclosure of your personal information to Sponsors and Presenters of the event will occur for marketing purposes. If you do NOT wish to have your details provided to Sponsors or Presenters, please OPT-OUT HERE Velg Training may disclose your personal information to overseas recipients for support and assistance as it uses cloud-based internet applications that are hosted outside of Australia for its operational business platform.
