ASQA: Online learning in the VET sector

As outlined in the Regulatory Strategy 2020-22, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is undertaking a strategic review of online learning in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. This strategic review was prompted by the significant number of providers who shifted delivery online in response to the circumstances created by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This Digital Literacy Skills Framework sits alongside the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), © 2012 and the ACSF Pre Level 1 © 2017. Digital literacy has been added as the sixth core skill to this framework to reinforce the concept that digital literacy is part of an integral suite of core skills that are fundamental for individuals to be able to participate in society and work.
