Session overview

This session will explore the reality of what AI can and cannot do. We will look at the practical application of AI, how to use it in your work and life and address the many concerns and risks that are presented when AI is not used in a safe or responsible way.

 The session will be a 40 mins presentation followed by a 20 mins Q&A session where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have on the impact of AI on jobs, the opportunity for Australia and the work of the National AI Centre in supporting AI Adoption.

This session is suited to:-

  • Anyone who wants to know more about the work the government is doing
  • Wants to have a balanced, clear and grounded conversation about what AI really is and isn’t.

What to expect

Once you're enrolled, you have 90 days to complete your MLB Recording via our LMS platform - Thinkific.  

You will be sent a confirmation link via email (just like any other Velg Training event) and this link will connect you to the Thinkific platform. You simply need to input your username and create a password.

Once logged into Thinkific, your MLB recording will be visible on the dashboard

This asynchronous PD activity won't appear in your VET PD profile - but your Certificate of Completion is issued instantly upon completion of the course.

Please note: The 'Date Issued' on your Certificate is recorded in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). For local Australian time, please add the relevant time offset (e.g., +9.5 hours for ACST)

AEST is equal to UTC plus 10 hours (UTC +10)
