ITECA: 2023 ITECA Pre-Budget Submission Independent Tertiary Education Priorities (2023)

To support the development of the 2023-24 Australian Government budget, the ITECA was asked to provide advice on spending priorities. With the great support of ITECA members in the international education sector, a comprehensive submission has been presented to government.

NCVER: Report - Issues in apprenticeships and traineeships – a research synthesis (November 2021)

This resource considers research and data on what could be considered five enduring issues for apprenticeships and traineeships in Australia. These are congestion and harmonisation, completions, incentive payments and other supports to employers and apprentices/trainees, the interface between the apprentice/trainee and training providers, and the relevance of the current model of apprenticeship training.

Released annually, this online tool provides a current assessment of the Australian labour market, including a detailed view of occupations in shortage and the anticipated future demand for occupations.

OECD: OECD Reviews of Vocational Education and Training - Learning for Jobs (2010)

Learning for Jobs, the thematic review of initial VET, looks at common issues and challenges. The work got under way in 2007 and, following 17 country reviews across the globe, was completed with the publication of a final comparative report.
