The aim of this research was to identify the teaching practices and student support services that facilitate the successful online delivery of vocational education and training (VET), including in blended delivery.

ASQA: Regulating offshore delivery of VET: ASQA’s 2015 pilot performance assessment program (2016)

In 2015, ASQA conducted an offshore performance assessment (audit) pilot in order to test the quality of offshore VET, trial the offshore performance assessment process and develop an effective offshore regulatory strategy. The pilot involved site performance assessments of four public providers at a range of locations in China, following negotiation with Chinese authorities. The pilot identified key characteristics and strengths and weakness of offshore VET that will help inform further offshore regulatory activity.

Government of SA: A Review of VET for School Students Consultation outcomes report (2019)

On 13 June 2019 the Minister for Education released Vocational Pathways to Employment: A review of VET for School Students, an issues paper highlighting the challenges facing vocational education and training (VET) and how it is delivered to South Australian secondary school students. The launch of the issues paper opened a six-week community consultation period.

The Australian Government have expanded the successful Tuition Protection Services (TPS) for international students to include similar tuition protections for domestic students accessing a VET Student Loan (VSL).

NCVER: Journeying through VET: a case study of foundation skills learners (2022)

Using Total VET Activity and National Student Outcome Survey data this research explores the enrolment paths, program completions and employment and further study outcomes of learners who had enrolled in nationally recognised foundation skills programs between 2016 – 2019.
