About this webinar

Many RTOs bemoan the costs and resource requirements of meeting compliance obligations and professional development events and templates focused on meeting compliance requirements, preparing for audits and managing ‘compliance’ are prevalent.

Whereas compliance is simply meeting minimum requirements of law, quality is a systematic process where management, resources, products, measurement and reporting systems are aligned to ensure continuous improvement and compliance are inescapable outcomes.

‘If you are not careful, it is easy to become compliance driven and focus more and more time and resources on managing the requirements needed to comply with a standard, rather than focusing on improving your own business processes in a way that makes sense for your business’ - N. Puglielli, 2011

This webinar will explore strategies to help you focus on improving and managing business processes that are quality, rather than compliance driven. It will explore strategies to actually fix issues and implement continuous improvements through identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions, rather than band-aiding the symptoms of issues that contribute to expensive rework, poor customer service and critical non-compliance.

By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Understand the value and process of quality systems
  • Utilise basic root cause analysis tools
  • Understand the relationship between quality and compliance
  • Understand the benefits and requirements of quality driven rather than compliance driven business systems
