About this Webinar

This webinar will be hosted by MRWED

Training Packages are the building blocks of Australia's national vocational education and training (VET) system, because they specify the occupational skills standards against which training delivery and assessment of competency can take place.

This webinar takes a practical look at how to unpack a training package into the sum of its parts and seeks to demystify how to use them to develop training and assessment tools and resources aimed at meeting specific client or industry needs. It will also provide specific tips on how to get the most out of www.training.gov.au when searching for the standards required to underpin your training and assessment solutions.

TAE40116 Alignment:

This webinar presents some of the course content for the Unit of Competency TAEDES402 Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs, which is a core unit in the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

  • Explain how to unpack a training package to use within the VET context
  • Identify the key parts of a training package that influence the development of training and assessment tools and resources
  • Identity 5 tips for using www.training.gov.au to find the standards required to underpin training and assessment solutions to meet client needs.
