Digital Literacy Behind Digital Learning

30 April 2020
ONLINE

This webinar is one of a suite of four that has been designed specifically to assist those RTOs now looking for strategies to improve their online teaching and assessment offerings.

Take a proactive approach to building an engaging online environment by selecting one or more of these webinars from our Going Online special event.

About this webinar

Digital literacy requires a suite of self-reliant functional skills across a broad range of devices, portals and work activities. But it also includes the critical comprehension and evaluation of online material, communication in a variety of digital forms, (email, discussion forums, work team apps, chat rooms and webinars), online and collaborative publishing; and cloud storage and sharing.

In this webinar we explore integrating both functional and critical literacy into training activities with students.

Key topics covered within the webinar

This webinar will cover the following key topics:

  • Analysing how digital literacy connects to work skills for students.
  • Strategies to embed student digital literacy into training
  • Activities and assessment that encourage workplace digital skills.
  • Using simple digital tools to create learning content.
  •  Role modelling use of digital technology by trainers.
