About this session

When designing a Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) an RTO must take into consideration the requirements of the Standards for RTOs 2015, but what else informs the design of a TAS?

A TAS should always be fit for purpose! This is why when designing (or re-designing) one we should be thinking about the intended learner cohort of students and meeting their needs. The TAS design will need to reflect the 'taking into account' the learner cohort’s prior learning/experience and have a focussed structure for the way a training product is delivered, to enable learners to meet the requirements of the training package/accredited course.

The learning outcomes achieved on successful completion of the course, should and will be heavily influenced by industry. Consultation will play an important role in the design of a TAS and inform the assessment methods and physical resources utilised to ensure graduates develop skills that are relevant to their workplace.

Unpack what should be taken into consideration, the influence of industry and what ‘good’ consultation looks like in this focussed webinar about TAS design.
