Overview
This very popular 2023 National VET Conference session is coming to you via webinar! This session will help highlight the importance of understanding neurodistinct (ND) students and to help RTOs learn more about how to support them.
This session will provide ideas to help organisations understand some of the areas where they might be able to improve their support opportunities and how minor changes can help them be a more inclusive learning institution

- What is neurodiversity any why it’s such a hot topic?
- What most neurodistinct students experience during the learning and assessment journey.
- How neurodistinct students are sometimes discriminated against by learning institutions.
- What can happen due to the lack of understanding of someone’s ND.
- What processes from sign up to start and finish, a learning institution should follow during the ND students learning journey.
- The importance of providing the right technology for ND people.
- Tips to help the ND students learning journey to be a great experience for both the student and teacher.
- Some ND students may never be able to meet certain competency standards.
