When used effectively, mentoring (coaching) can offer valuable learning opportunities and skills development. Moreover, positive mentor experiences can be used to build learner confidence, strengthen understanding, stretch capacity, and enhance the provision of just-in-time feedback to support on-the-job application.
This webinar focuses on creating a framework that can be used to establish and develop a professional mentoring (coaching) relationship with an individual in a workplace setting.
The session will include an interesting research base and clarify the numerous benefits for both the mentor and the mentee. In addition, the session will establish the importance of a partnership approach, based on shared principles and utilising a dialogue approach to conversations.
The session will present valuable insights into establishing a mentoring relationship and will also provide a series of templates that can be used to prepare the mentoring (coaching) arrangements and track progress. Importantly an opportunity for Reflective Practice will be modelled in the session.
