Bjorn Jarvis, Head of the Workforce Futures Program at Jobs and Skills Australia

Bjorn heads up Jobs and Skills Australia’s Workforce Futures Program, driving the agency’s focus on understanding, informing and supporting Australia's potential future workforces. JSA does this through delivering highly relevant additional data, insights and advice - including findings and recommendations from detailed studies. Bjorn’s program delves into the parts of the jobs and skills system identified for their opportunities or challenges, often pioneering deep exploration of these system areas (such as the jobs and skills implications of Generative AI).

Prior to joining the JSA team, Bjorn spent 20 years with the ABS and headed up the ABS Labour Statistics Program. He is passionate about data and research highlighting important stories about Australia and supporting informed decisions.
