This workshop offers a practical deep dive into Outcome Standard 2.5.2b of the 2025 Standards for RTOs, which requires creating a culturally safe learning environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. We'll go beyond basic compliance to explore what cultural safety truly means and how you can effectively implement it in your courses. The session will cover a range of practical strategies and activities, including teaching methods that embed cultural safety, as well as how to build meaningful connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and businesses.
Our goal is to provide you with the tools and knowledge to not only meet this new standard but also to create a genuinely inclusive and supportive educational setting.
