Andrea is an education expert specialising in regional and national qualifications frameworks, regional and national quality assurance standards/frameworks/systems, governance, and international evaluation. Her field of expertise is providing policy advice within the ASEAN, APEC, African continent, South Asia, and Pacific regions, as well as Saudi Arabia and UAE. Her area of expertise includes higher education and TVET sectors. 

Andrea Bateman has a strong history of working on international collaboration projects and has excellent project management skills. Her strong background in international development projects is reflected in the various reviews undertaken of international projects and initiatives, tertiary institutions, and of multi national and national policy. Her area of expertise includes higher education and TVET sectors. 

Andrea is a highly experienced external quality auditor/evaluator for Australian TVET and HEd regulators, and specialises in auditing international student requirements (ESOS Act, National Code and related requirements). Andrea's background also includes expertise in assessment [of learning outcomes] and assessment systems. She was a member of the Quality Panel involved in quality assurance of the development and review of Training Packages (national TVET qualifications) (panel recently dissolved in 2022). She has led audit/evaluation teams for Pacific quality assurance authorities in relation to TVET or Higher Education institutions.
