Webinar overview

Assessment design and delivery in VET are undergoing a major shift. With the 2025 Standards for RTOs now in effect—particularly the emphasis on workplace relevance, authenticity and learner capability—there is a renewed need to rethink how assessments are created, delivered, and validated.

At the same time, rapid innovations in AI, mobile-first technology, and workplace-based learning are reshaping the expectations of both learners and industry. These changes are creating new opportunities for more flexible, engaging, and meaningful assessment experiences.

In this timely webinar, we’ll explore where assessment is heading—from emerging design approaches to technology-enabled delivery and validation. You’ll gain practical insights to evolve your assessment practices, build team capability, maintain compliance, and better support learners in real-world contexts.
Compliance will be referenced, but the focus is forward-thinking, practical innovation.

Key topics covered

  • The evolving purpose of assessment — authenticity, workplace relevance, and learner capability
  • Practical implications of Clause 1.1 and emerging design trends (modular, micro, integrated)
  • Technology’s role in modern assessment — AI-assisted design and mobile-first delivery
  • Ensuring integrity, scalability and building capability for future-focused assessment
