Webinar overview

Performance evidence is not limited to that which is directly observed – it may include any evidence that underscores skills and ability. Ensure your tools provide appropriate mechanisms for assessors to be able to capture and record valid, reliable evidence of student performance.

In this session, we expand on skills to develop valid observation checklists and we look more broadly at:

  • Principles of robust, reliable performance instruments in VET assessment tools
  • The ‘what’ of assessing performance
  • Ways to assess various performance requirements, including Foundation Skills
  • What makes an instrument invalid as a means to collect evidence of performance
  • Factors that undermine the compliance of the tool
  • Common errors in PE assessment design - and how to avoid them

The intent of these sessions is to give tips and pointers about the things that add value to the quality of your assessment tools, and what to avoid because it undermines quality and compliance.

Register for this session on its own, or as part of the entire Assessment Tool Master Series.
