RPL: Essential Skills and Knowledge an assessor should have!

12 July 2017
ONLINE

A genuine Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applicant is already competent and is seeking recognition of that competence. Accordingly, RPL assessors need very sound competency-based assessment knowledge and skills and competency and currency in the vocational area involved. They need an understanding of, and the ability to make judgements about, “wild” evidence, drawing on a real understanding of the rules of evidence.

RPL assessors also need sound recording and reporting skills, supported by effective and efficient evidence-gathering and recording tools. They also need highly developed interpersonal communication skills.

Challenging? Certainly! Rewarding? Without a doubt! Get on board!

  • Credit transfer and RPL
