TAEASS502 I do this! What evidence do I have that might support an RPL application and how should I record my currency activities?

29 January 2019
ONLINE

As at 1 April 2019, all trainers and assessors of nationally recognised qualifications need to hold the unit TAEASS502 (Design and Develop Assessment Tools).

Perhaps you already hold the TAEASS502 unit – in which case you will need to be able to start demonstrating currency  in this unit. Or perhaps you are looking to apply to an RTO for RPL so that you can attain - and you have evidence of prior learning and current skills/knowledge that relate directly to this unit.

Key topics covered within the webinar

For the unit TAEASS502 this webinar:

  • Unpacks the unit to clearly identify what a competent trainer and assessor does
  • Identifies what types of activities trainers and assessors are already doing that would support demonstration of currency
  • Prompts you to identify any currency ‘gaps’ that might exist, to plan what activities you should be doing in the near future to gain/maintain currency against this unit
  • Highlights types of evidence that could be used and kept to demonstrate currency that could also be used to support an RPL application
  • Provides a proforma (including mapping) that can be completed throughout the webinar by participants to document their currency

N.B. Can't make the session?
We send out all electronic resources to registrants within 48 hours of the session closure. All Velg Training Webinars are scheduled in AEST (QLD time) - please check your timezone before logging onto the online training session.

N.B. Professional Development
Velg Training is not a Registered Training Organisation and we do not issue nationally recognised qualifications. We provide professional development to Registered Training Organisations and their Trainers. This webinar provides you with information on how you as a Trainer and Assessor can identify and record current skills and knowledge in the requirements of the TAEASS502 unit of competency (a required unit for all Trainers and Assessors from 1 April 2019). It will also provide guidance on the types of evidence you may already have that could assist in an application for RPL for this unit.
