Engaging Learners Through the Universal Design for Learning Principles

Join Jane Goodfellow as she explores the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a framework for teaching and learning based on neuroscience which guides trainers in the development of learning materials, assessments and learning environments. The key difference to this approach is the increased access to learning that UDL provides for a multiple range of students. Jane will look at the principles that guide UDL classrooms and provide practical strategies for trainers to improve opportunities for learning with a focus on students with diverse learning needs. This presentation will challenge participants to think about their training from a different viewpoint and ready to try something different!
