NVC Master Class: Creating Assessments that Work

11 September 2019
Brisbane Convention Centre,

2019NVC Master Class

When it comes to audit time, assessment is the most challenging area for RTOs. Why is this?

ASQA data tells us it’s because of such things including: relevant requirements not being met, inconsistency in the assessment of learners, lack of clear instructions, lack of assessment criteria and lack of practical application of knowledge and skills. An RTO’s assessment system relies on the assessment tools it uses, so it’s natural that for the system to work, so must the tools.

This session will outline how to write elements that will address some of the factors identified in the ASQA data. It will focus on knowing how to identify if there is a deficit in the tools in use or intended for use, and it will give a solid foundation for getting it right.

Registrants are invited to bring one of their own assessment tools for random selection and review during the session.

This Master Class is a ‘Must-Do’ Class for instructional designers, compliance personnel and assessment specialists. Join Michelle Charlton for an interactive, workshop-style learning experience.
