27 May 2019 : Copyright Essentials for VET Providers

Presented by:   Liesl Fitzpatrick, Senior Manager, Education Licensing and Virginia Morrison, Senior Solicitor at Copyright Agency

We’ve all been puzzled by copyright questions. Do I need to ask permission to use this content? Can we photocopy images found online to give to our students? Is it okay to combine extracts from third-party sources with my own text to build a course pack?

In this webinar Liesl Fitzpatrick, Senior Manager, Education Licensing and Virginia Morrison, Senior Solicitor at Copyright Agency, will show how RTOs can take the guess work out of copyright compliance. Using real life examples, they will talk through key copyright principles and common myths.

  • Fundamentals of copyright in Australia
  • Using Copyright material in education– avoiding infringement
  • The Statutory Education Licence and its purpose
  • Common Copyright Myths & Misconceptions
  • Q & A
