Certification

Certification is formal confirmation of a person’s competency, this means there must be steps taken to maintain the integrity of an RTO’s processes for issuing this official documentation.

Division 3 - Accountability

Division 3 of the Compliance Standards outline requirements related to transparency, financial security, and legal compliance that an RTO must meet at all times.

Informing Learners

Prospective students must be given clear, accurate and timely information to make informed decisions about their training, and must be advised on whether the training product is suitable for their skills and abilities before they enrol.

Continuous Improvement

RTOs should have a system for how they will pinpoint and action opportunities for continuous improvement of their operations.

Leadership and Accountability - Standards 4.1 and 4.2

Standards 4.1 and 4.2 relate to the focus area of leadership and accountability.

Diversity and Inclusion - Standard 2.5

Standard 2.5 relates to the focus area of diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

As one part of the endorsed component of a Training Package, qualifications are a group of Units of Competency ‘packaged’ together as the requirement for working in a particular industry role at a specific level. A qualification is also the official documentation recognising competency in all of the units specific to a particular grouping of units.

Ensuring the right facilities, resources and equipment are in place is essential to delivering quality training and assessment.

Division 2 - Integrity of Nationally Recognised Training Products

Division 2 of the Compliance Standards outline requirements for the issuing and recording of nationally recognised training products that an RTO must meet at all times.

Records Management and Data Retention

Records management and data retention are important activities in an RTO, ensuring that records are created, stored securely and preserved for as long as they are needed.
