Training Design

Effective training design and delivery are crucial for engaging diverse students, accommodating varied learning styles, and developing practical skills and competencies.

Informing Learners

Prospective students must be given clear, accurate and timely information to make informed decisions about their training, and must be advised on whether the training product is suitable for their skills and abilities before they enrol.

Validation

Validation is the review of the assessment system to ensure that assessment tools are consistent with the training product and the requirements of the Standards; and assessments and assessment judgements are producing consistent outcomes.

Records Management and Data Retention

Records management and data retention are important activities in an RTO, ensuring that records are created, stored securely and preserved for as long as they are needed.

Risk management - Standard 4.3

Standard 4.3 relates to the focus area of risk management.

Scope of Registration

Scope of registration (scope) refers to all of the accredited training products (Accredited Courses, Qualifications, Skill Sets and Units of Competency) an RTO is registered to deliver.

Trainer and assessor competencies - Standards 3.2 and 3.3

Standards 3.2 and 3.3 relates to the focus area of trainer and assessor competencies.

Trainer and Assessor Requirements

Delivery of quality vocational training relies on having properly qualified educators with relevant experience. Specific requirements for trainers and assessors are mandated by the Standards.
