Information - Standards 2.1 and 2.2

Standards 2.1 and 2.2 relate to the focus area of information.

Trainer and assessor competencies - Standards 3.2 and 3.3

Standards 3.2 and 3.3 relates to the focus area of trainer and assessor competencies.

eLearning

eLearning is the delivery of online learning and assessment and, whilst this method of learning has been around for some time, it has, in recent times, become a more essential blended learning component. For information and guidance on how to navigate the online training terrain and apply eLearning strategies across your own programs, you are here provided with a range of webinar topics and links which will guide you, enhance your understanding and dispel any fears you may have when transferring your skills from one platform to another.

Diverse Learners

Supporting diversity means moving beyond uniform approaches to create learning environments that are accessible, relevant, and empowering for all.

Training Design

Effective training design and delivery are crucial for engaging diverse students, accommodating varied learning styles, and developing practical skills and competencies.

Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority (VRQA)

The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is the body responsible for regulating RTOs in Victoria.

Working Under Direction

The Standards use the term “direction” to describe the arrangement where a person is working under the responsibility of a qualified trainer or assessor. It applies when a person does not yet hold the required credentials to deliver training or make assessment judgements.

Key Organisations

There are a number of key organisations in Australia’s National VET System, including those that develop, deliver, regulate and research VET in Australia.

Fees and Refunds

All RTOs must be explicit about their policies for collecting fees from students, and the conditions under which refunds may be issued.

Digital Literacy Skills Framework

The Digital Literacy Skills Framework sits alongside the ACSF. Digital literacy has been added as the sixth core skill to this framework to reinforce the concept that digital literacy is part of an integral suite of core skills that are fundamental for individuals to be able to participate in society and work.

Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Collectively known as ‘Australian Apprenticeships’, both apprenticeships and traineeships offer the opportunity and benefit of being trained and working towards a nationally recognised qualification, whilst working in industry and earning a wage.
