In 2020 we are heading down south to one of Australia's fastest growing cities, the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast remains the country's premier tourist destination, attracting more than 10 million visitors each year. However, it is beneath the surface, where the Gold Coast's vision for the future is driving fierce economic development and prosperity.

Hugging Queensland's southeast coast for a whopping 70km, the City of the Gold Coast extends far beyond the borders of Surfer's Paradise, its hedonistic heart. The iconic oceanfront hosts everything from yachting to kayaking and deep sea fishing, while groups looking for a change of pace might try a V8 supercars experience or a hair-raising jetboat ride. Beyond the beaches, discover laid-back neighbourhoods, a booming culinary scene and the Gold Coast's famous theme parks. And be sure to leave enough time for a trip into the subtropical hinterland for rainforest walks and waterfalls.

The Gold Coast is full of activities perfect for conventioneers or business event delegates hoping to make their stay special: on-water adventures, adrenalised action, chilled eco-experiences and Australian wildlife and Indigenous adventures.

The best part? The Gold Coast, similarly to Velg Training's home in Brisbane, boasts a sub-tropical climate...allowing you to bask in the sunshine for approximately 80% of the year (that beach trip in late September is looking good!).

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC), a $167 million masterpiece of innovation, is as ground-breaking in design as it is inspiring in its capabilities. A venue where large-scale national and international conference and exhibitions roll out seamlessly from beginning to end. Located in the heart of Broadbeach, just 500 metres to the beach and walking distance to thousands of accommodation options, GCCEC is Australia's largest regional convention centre.
