2020 QLD Schools VET Conference

7 Aug 2020

In light of the recent Prime Minister’s national address, Velg Training have been forced to postpone and reschedule our signature, face to face events.

Government have set clear guidelines around group sizing and travel which ultimately prevents us (or anyone) from holding face to face events within the indicated minimum 6 month period.

These postponements are caused by an event wholly beyond our control, effectively (and legally) a Force Majeure Event.

Our priority is to work within the guidelines to host these events as soon as possible at a time that does not adversely impact the health, safety and well being of all who facilitate and attend these conferences. We are currently rolling out our planned approach to simply pick up these events and move them to a viable date.

What does this mean for you?
  • Your purchased ticket will simply be held, carried over and credited against the rescheduled event (as soon as this date has been locked-in we will be in touch with you).
  • If you have an unpaid tax invoice that has been raised to purchase your ticket, please contact us at conference@velgtraining.com to advise whether you would like this tax invoice to be cancelled.
We thank you for your support and understanding in these unprecedented times and hope that you and your family stay safe and well.

Velg Training has been providing services for Queensland Schools since 2003, so we have learned from what you value most!

For over ten years we have facilitated an annual event targeted at providing top notch professional development for those who work in QLD School Registered Training Organisations and we are excited to announce the return of our QLD Schools VET Conference once again in 2020!

Taking place on the 7th August 2020 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Conference will bring together both leading experts and industry bodies to educate, inspire and empower VET practitioners from QLD schools.

The Conference's streams cater to RTO Managers, VET Teachers, Principals, Deputy Principals and Career Counsellors/Advisers. It offers relevant, topical professional development that is specifically designed for Queensland Schools.

The program has been built as a direct result of 2019 attendee feedback with sessions broken into three streams of learning. Content has been developed under the themes: Future Vision, RTO Management and Training & Assessing.
