Velg Training's 14th annual National VET Conference has been specifically designed for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.

We hope you and yours have been safe and well during 2020. What an incredible time it has been for families, friends, co-workers, businesses the VET Community, and the nation as a whole!

With the impacts of COVID-19 Velg Training was unable to facilitate our traditional face to face event in 2020.  We are excited to confirm that the 2021 National VET Conference will occur on the 9th and 10th September 2021 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Rest assured we are committed to delivering a conference experience of the highest quality and hold the health & safety of all delegates, presenters and exhibitors in the highest regard. We will be strictly adhering to all measures of social distancing regulations, and health & safety precautions to create a safe environment to connect, learn and network.

The theme for #2021NVC is (still) Vision for the Future.  Something that is ever-present in all our minds, particularly given the uncertainty that comes with it.

This theme will be explored through an exciting range of presentations, designed for VET practitioners across the sector.  As we are all aware, VET will play a pivotal role in skilling Australia’s future workforce, and this event is designed to assist VET Practitioners in proactively focussing on the future.

Every year the NVC  provides attendees with the opportunity to engage in both plenary and elective sessions. Delegates will be exposed to informative presenters and a wide variety of topics, opportunities to meet with product and service providers and to network with peers from across Australia.

We are mindful that due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic, and the uncertainty around border closures and maximum event sizes, we need to take a proactive approach to being prepared for partial or complete lockdown.

So what are we doing to mitigate risk as best we can?

1. We will be working with the Venue in accordance with their COVID Safe Plan, and will continue to communicate with them about audience size limitations, social distancing, and room capacities. If required, we will cap the number of face to face delegate tickets available.

2. If the state of Queensland goes into lockdown, if the entire event is not able to proceed due to a Forced Majeure, or if delegates from a state or territory are forced into lockdown and unable to attend the live event, face to face delegates will receive access to recordings of all sessions from the two-day event.

3. If we reach our face to face capacity, or if Queensland closes its borders to interstate travellers, we want to be able to ensure that all practitioners have equal opportunity to participate in quality professional development. We will be providing a Virtual Attendance (recordings) ticket option.

So, how will the Virtual Attendance ticket work?

We want to make sure that no matter where you are in Australia on the 9 & 10 September, you are able to access the PD program that we have designed for the #2021NVC.

By purchasing a Virtual Attendance ticket, you will be given access to the content by way of pre-recordings of every elective session! This will allow you to attend a pre-recorded version of the Conference Program from the comfort of your own home/office.

Throughout the Conference, as each session commences, the row of session recordings associated with that time slot will be opened and made available for you to choose, on-demand, which you would like to view.

Access to the Virtual Attendance program will be via a link to a resource landing page where the Program build will be mirrored.  Simply click into the session you would like to view and watch the recording (any handouts or supportive resources will be made available in that space also).  

Access to the Virtual Attendance program recordings will be available for 7 days.  

Post-event resources (a PDF of the PPTs from each session and any handouts etc) will be available for 3 months.

Group discounts available

Group discounts are available when registering multiple attendees for this event. If five or more attendees are registered for an event, a discount of 5% will apply. This will apply for up to and including nine attendees. If 10 or more attendees are registered for an event, a discount of 10% will apply.
