Developing Assessment to Align with the Requirements of Industry Training Packages

6 and 7 June 2018
Brisbane and Sydney

Sydney has now sold out - send an expression of interest to events@velgtraining.com for a potential repeat workshop!
3 places remain in Brisbane - get in quick!

This brand new workshop has been designed to enhance the capability of VET practitioners in the development of competency based assessment. It specifically focuses on the steps to take to:

  • Unpack the unit of competency; and
  • develop an assessment model that addresses all of the unit requirements (according to the principles of assessment and rules of evidence).

Participants will engage with the presenter in a discussion orientated session and explore the session content including the requirements for assessment from an RTO Standards perspective, the requirements of the training package, an in-depth look at different types of units of competency and how this can influence your choice of assessment tasks. The session will unpack three units of competency at AQF III, IV and Diploma in order to discover how the AQF can affect the assessment. In support of these fundamentals, the session will also provide tips on developing assessment instructions, recording your assessment mapping and structuring your assessment tools and documents for an efficient assessment process and record retention.
