Focus Week: The ‘Rolling’ Five-Year Validation Plan, and the Benefits it Achieved

26 June 2018
ONLINE

This webinar is one of five available during Velg Training's dedicated Focus Week - RTO Compliance. The webinars that form this Focus Week are designed to focus particular attention on how an RTO’s compliance is both developed and administered, and to foster continuous improvement of RTO practices.

About this webinar

As of the 1st of April 2015 the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 required effective planning and implementation of a five-year systematic validation of assessment to be undertaken. The standards provided details of how this was to be developed and required the RTO to determine: when assessment validation will occur; which training products will be the focus of the validation; who will conduct the validation; and how the outcomes will be documented and acted upon.

This webinar will discuss the benefits that RTOs gained from the first three-years of the validation process; the challenges they faced in implementation; the assessment opportunities discovered; and how these have influenced the quality of assessment development and subsequent validation activities.

Key topics covered within webinar

  • Three-years gone - two to go
  • Where are we now?
  • The benefits achieved
  • The challenges faced
  • How we might do it differently in the future
