1 July Will Be Here Before You Know It

1 July Will Be Here Before You Know It image

The implementation date for new TAE credential requirements has been extended from 1 April 2019 to 1 July 2019.  On this date, the requirement for trainers and assessors to hold updated qualifications will now come into effect.

Skills Ministers agreed to delay the introduction of the requirements following feedback from the vocational education and training (VET) sector. The Standards for RTOs 2015  have been amended accordingly.

The Department of Education and Training (DET) has advised there will be no further extensions beyond 1 July 2019.

To ensure the workforce is going to be adequately equipped by July 2019, DET is interested in gathering data to see how trainers and assessors in VET will be placed come 1 July 2019.  Please take the time to respond to this two-question survey – it will take less than a minute.

The survey is at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XX2BBKV
