SkillsIQ Releases Skills Forecasts for Consultation image

The 2019 Industry Skills Forecasts put forward by the Skills Service Organisation, SkillsIQ provide:

  • An overview of the sector of focus, and the current challenges and opportunities it faces, along with an analysis of current and projected employment and workforce skills needs
  • Proposed workplans for 2019-20 and subsequent years, which will be put forward to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) for consideration.

These workplans have been developed incorporating information sourced in a variety of ways, including meetings and consultation with stakeholders; desktop research; an industry workforce survey open to all stakeholders across all industries; and consultation with IRC members and their stakeholder networks.

The following draft 2019 Industry Skills Forecasts are now open for national consultation:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker (closing date: Friday, 31 May 2019)
  • Ambulance and Paramedic (closes 5:00pm Wednesday, 29 May 2019)
  • Children's Education and Care (closing date: Friday, 31 May 2019)
  • Direct Client Care and Support (closing date: Friday, 31 May 2019)
  • First Aid (closes 5:00pm Wednesday, 29 May 2019)
  • Local Government (closing date: Friday, 31 May 2019)
  • Sport and Recreation (closing date: Friday, 31 May 2019)
  • Wholesale and Retail (closes 5:00pm Wednesday, 29 May 2019)
