Various Skills Tasmania Funding Opportunities Now Open image

Closing on 1 February 2018, the ‘Work Readiness for Growth Industries’ Program has Project Manager grants available.  The Work Readiness for Growth Industries Program is a new grant program aimed at ensuring Tasmanian employers have access to the skills they need to drive future growth in the economy.

The Program will run over two years and has been allocated $900 000 in funding across six growth industries.  Under the Program, registered training organisations, other eligible organisations and leading employers will work together to provide young Tasmanians with technical and work-ready employability skills to ensure they can be productive and capable employees from their first day on the job.

Through Skills Tasmania, the Tasmanian Department of State Growth has invited eligible organisations to apply for funding in the following areas:

  • building and construction
  • tourism and hospitality
  • agriculture (incorporating aquaculture)
  • aged care services
  • disability support services
  • advanced manufacturing

Further information and application instructions are on the Program page of the Skills Tasmania website.

User Choice funding now open

The name of the User Choice program has been changed to the Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice) for 2018 to better reflect the program’s purpose.  All Skills Tasmania endorsed RTOs are eligible to apply for a Fund Agreement for 2018.

For more information and application instructions, see the User Choice page of the Skills Tasmania website.
