Providing Evidence of TAE Currency Webinar 4 - TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace

Velg Training

Recorded on the 16/06/2017, Session 4 of Velg Training's 'Providing Evidence of TAE Currency' series explores the unit TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace

Topic overview:

Session 4 of  Velg Training's 'Providing Evidence of TAE Currency' series explores the unit TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace, from the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

The webinars from this series have been specifically designed to answer the question ‘How can I demonstrate trainer and assessor current practice of VET and learning and assessment?’

Using the unit TAEDEL402 this webinar:

  • Unpacks the unit to clearly identify what a competent trainer and assessor does
  • Identifies what types of activities trainers and assessors are already doing that would support demonstration of currency
  • Prompts participants to identify any ‘gaps’ that might exist within each unit, that could be used to plan what activities trainers and assessors should be doing in the near future to gain/maintain currency against this unit
  • Highlights types of evidence that could be used and kept to demonstrate currency
  • Provides a proforma (including mapping) that can be completed throughout the webinar by participants to document their currency

N.B Velg Training is not able to provide a Certificate of Completion for any recording that is available for download.

What was covered in the webinar:

  • Establish effective work environment for learning
  • Develop a work-based learning pathway
  • Establish the learning-facilitation relationship
  • Implement the work-based learning pathway
  • Maintain and develop the learning-facilitation relationship
  • Close and evaluate the learning-facilitation relationship

Webinar content targeted towards:

  • CEO/RTO Owners
  • RTO Managers
  • Trainers and Assessors (already holding TAE40110/TAE40116)

Whilst this is not a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, participants will walk away with: a record of their own currency activities, mapped to unit requirements; identified examples of the evidence they have; any identified ‘gaps’ in currency (with strategies on how to fill those gaps); the record keeping proforma; and the formal record of their professional development. All of which could be used to support an RPL application for relevant units from the TAE40116 qualification, with an RTO in the future.

Webinar duration: 60 minutes
