ITECA: Jobs & Skills Australia Discussion Paper Response (2023)

ITECA was invited by the Australian Government to provide advice on an issues paper that canvassed the role and governance of JSA. In response, the ITECA membership provide a detailed response that included recommendations that would ensure that JSA is fully engaged with independent RTOs and operates in with full accountability to stakeholders.

ADCET: Webinar: Managing complex and challenging mental health situations

This webinar focused on the small number of instances where a student’s mental ill health is so disruptive to their thinking, thoughts and/or behaviours that they are unable to engage and participate in their chosen courses. The session worked through what this behaviour can look like and how best to manage situations where there is a lack of progress and/or unacceptable behaviour relating to mental ill health.

ADCET: Microsoft’s Inclusive Classroom (webinars & resources)

The Inclusive Classroom was a series of webinars aimed at improving knowledge of Microsoft accessibility tools. The sessions were delivered by Troy Waller, learning delivery specialist and accessibility lead for Microsoft Australia Education. The diversity of learning needs of students requires schools, VET and Universities to provide inclusive and accessible learning environments that inspire confidence and encourage independence differently for each student.
