|We hope you and yours have been safe and well during 2020. What an incredible time it has been for families, friends, co-workers, businesses the VET Community, and the nation as a whole!|
With the impacts of COVID-19 Velg Training was unable to facilitate our traditional face to face event in 2020. We are excited to confirm that the 2021 Queensland Schools VET Conference will occur on the 6th August 2021 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.Rest assured we are committed to delivering a conference experience of the highest quality and hold the health & safety of all delegates, presenters and exhibitors in the highest regard. We will be strictly adhering to all measures of social distancing regulations, and health & safety precautions to create a safe environment to connect, learn and network.
The 2021 Queensland Schools Conference will bring together both leading experts and industry bodies to educate, inspire and empower VET practitioners from QLD schools.
Velg Training has been providing services for Queensland Schools since 2003, so we have learned from what you value most! The Conference's streams cater to RTO Managers, VET Teachers, Principals, Deputy Principals and Career Counsellors/Advisers. It offers relevant, topical professional development that is specifically designed for Queensland Schools.
The program has been built as a direct result of 2019 attendee feedback with sessions broken into three streams of learning. Content has been developed under the themes: Future Vision, RTO Management and Training & Assessing.
What delegates from the 2019 QLD Schools VET Conference have to say:
|We are mindful that due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic, and the uncertainty around border closures and maximum event sizes, we need to take a proactive approach to being prepared for partial or complete lockdown. Our mitigation strategy at this point is to ‘prepare for the worst”.|
So what are we doing to mitigate risk as best we can?1. Due to the venue’s COVID Safe Plan, and after much communication with them about size limitations, social distancing, and new room capacities, we are capping the number of face to face delegate tickets at 300.
2. If the state of Queensland goes into lockdown if the entire event is not able to proceed due to a Forced Majeure and delegates are unable to attend the live event, face to face delegates will receive access to recordings of all sessions from the event.
3. If we reach our 300 face to face capacity or for those who are not able to attend the event live, we want to be able to ensure that all practitioners have equal opportunity to participate in quality professional development. We will be providing a Recordings On-Demand ticket option.
