Getting around Sydney

Opal Card

Getting around Sydney is made easy when using the Opal smartcard. The card will allow you to tap on and tap off to pay your fares on trains, buses, ferries and light rail anywhere within the Opal network.

From the airport 

Taxi The International Convention Centre Sydney is a 30 minute drive from Sydney Airport, the trip will approximately cost $50.

Need a taxi?You can also book an Uberhere.
Train Trains run every 10 - 15 minutes from the Sydney Domestic Terminal to the city the fare is approximately $17 per adult for a single trip. You can use your opal card on this trip.

How to get to the ICC Sydney

WalkIf you are coming from Sydney CBD it is a short 15 minute walk to the ICC Sydney. All of the hotels recommended by Velg are within Sydney CBD.

FerryCircular Quay, King Street Wharf and Pyrmont Bay Wharf all run direct ferry services to Darling Harbour.
TaxiDarling Harbour taxi drop off and pick up locations:
  • Iron Wharf Place next to Harbourside Shopping Centre
  • Zollner Circuit on the Southern end of ICC Sydney Theatre  
Sydney Light RailTravelling right through various Darling Harbour stations the Light Rail can take you to the ICC Sydney. You can get off the Light Rail at Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre.


Water Taxi
Departing from The Rocks, Circular Quay, The opera House and Luna Park the Water Taxi is a great option for getting to and from Darling Harbour. 


Train
Town Hall and Central Stations are a 10 minute walk from ICC Sydney.
Parking
ICC Sydney has two car park facilities located within the Exhibition Centre and ICC Sydney Theatre. There are also numerous secure car parks located in and around Darling Harbour, the closest located at Harbourside Car Park, 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont. 


Bus
Bus routes 389 and 501 stop at Harris Street near Allen Street a 10 minute walk from ICC Sydney.
