K.I.S.S Your Management Fears Goodbye

K.I.S.S Your Management Fears Goodbye image

One of the most challenging aspects of our roles as Leaders is, quite simply, managing our people.

Whilst simple in theory, the complex nature of human design and differing levels of both personality and behaviour ensures that much of what we learn from the textbook is thrown out the window. In fact, a survey by Harris Poll found that 69% of Leaders say they are often uncomfortable communicating with employees; Why?

Well, research from The Maven Effect shows that a staggering 81% of Leaders have never been shown how to – in turn creating fear of the unknown, anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, burnout, high Management turnover, and the list goes on!

Considering how essential people are to our respective businesses, it’s about time we hold ourselves accountable and deep dive into the darker side of people management as you’ve never experienced before.

The Maven Effect’s CEO and Founder, Jason Blinman, is an Executive Coach and Leadership Master who will take you on a journey to help you get comfortable with the uncomfortable moments of people management.  In turn, Jason will guide you to an alternate universe where you will begin to feel the transformational and positive effects these discussions can have on yourself, your people, and your business.

Taking place on Wednesday, 12 July 2023, this session will cover three essential core topics:

  • Managing High Performance: Capitalising on skills both demonstrated and hidden to generate high-level performance.

  • Managing Mid Performance: Understanding the performance management lifecycle – from coaching through to termination of employment with emphasis on rescuing of employment.

  • Managing Low Performance: When and how to deliver formal disciplinary meetings in line with Australian legislation covering the National Employment Standards (NES) and Fair Work obligations and expectations the right way and with respect.
