  ANZSCO identifier, 2021 Release (Occupation) (Revised 2023)

This classification is made available in electronic format to assist those organisations providing data compliant with AVETMISS. The ANZSCO classification is a code that uniquely identifies the type of occupation which a client would be qualified in on completion of a qualification undertaken as part of a training contract.

This paper examines a question posed in 2019 in the International Journal on Training and Development: ‘How do we solve a problem like apprenticeship?’ Data sources covering a substantial number of countries are used to present findings on, and analyse, initiatives that have been implemented or that have been considered, and then to develop some analytical constructs to help address the question.

  VET Quality Framework (VQF) - Australia Wide

The VET Quality Framework (VQF) is a set of standards and conditions used by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national VET regulator, to assess whether registered training organisations (RTOs) under its jurisdiction meet the requirements for registration. To obtain and retain registration, RTOs must comply with each of the elements and their associated components.

  ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grant Applications Open

Applications for a new round of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship and Leadership Grant Programs are now open. Individuals are invited to apply for up to $5,000 to undertake study and training to develop their skills and provide employment opportunities. Applications close Friday 21 July 2017.

  International Education up 15%

New data from the Department of Education and Training shows international student numbers soar by 15% in the first three months of this year compared to 2016. The report coincided with the release of the education export income results, confirming a record $22.4 billion added to the country’s economy in 2016 from international education.
