Where else can you access a combined bank of VET knowledge equivalent to over 150 years’ experience, in just five presenters?

This year, the National VET Conference will once again feature some of the familiar speakers that we all know and love. Read below, to see who will be joining us again in 2017 to speak about all things VET.

Kerri Buttery

Having worked as a Trainer/Assessor, RTO Manager and Senior Lead Auditor, Kerri Buttery has experience spanning almost two decades in the VET sector. She has consulted in a wide range of areas, including establishing RTOs, conducting internal audits, and developing accredited courses; has authored several textbooks; and has lectured and tutored at university. Kerri has a wealth of knowledge and is currently employed as the Director of VET Content Development at Velg Training.

John Dwyer

John Dwyer has experience in education spanning more than 50 years, and is a national AQTF/VET Quality Framework trainer and consultant. Previously, John has been the Manager of Competency Assessment and Development Services of the Global Institute for Learning Management (GILD), a pre-qualified AQTF consultant registered with Queensland’s Department of Education and Training (DET), and has been contracted through DET as the TAA/TAE Technical Advisor for Audits. With a comprehensive history in developing and delivering workshops, John is currently a consultant and trainer at Velg Training.

John Price

With over 40 years’ experience as an educator and trainer, John Price has been a Head of Department at TAFE, mentor, and facilitator of national workshops. He has also been a keynote speaker at conventions and conference and maintained a grass roots level approach to dealing with people at all levels in an organisation. John has assisted over 300 Australian organisations to achieve quality certification for the range of National Training Standards, including Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations, Australian Quality Training Framework standards, and Australian and International ISO9001 standards, and has worked with these organisations to establish continuous improvement systems and strategies.

Carol Hunter

Carol Hunter’s management experience in the Queensland VET sector includes Director, Training Quality and Regulation; Manager, Audit Services; and Manager Training Secretariat to the Training and Employment Recognition Council and Training Employment Board (Queensland) within the Department of Education and Training. Previously, Carol has worked in operational roles in both public and private RTOs, in policy and curriculum development, and as a secondary school teacher. She is currently the Principal of RTO Services and Consulting.

Angela McGregor

Angela McGregor is the Principal Consultant at RTO Consulting and offers consulting services, guidance, coaching and assistance to businesses wanting to become RTOs, existing RTOs and businesses wanting to develop nationally accredited courses, across Australia. She also set up an RTO in 2003, which she ran successfully until selling it in 2012.
Having consulted through many forums pertaining to training and assessment services, Angela is a practitioner dedicated to sharing her knowledge, and is known for her experience in developing accredited courses, setting up RTOs and assisting with compliance against the VET Quality Framework. Her qualifications include Diploma of Quality Auditing, Diploma of VET Registration and Management, Diploma of Business, Diploma of Training and Assessment and Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing.
