COAG Model to be Dissolved
The National Cabinet met on 29 May 2020 and agreed on the formation of the National Federation Reform Council. At the centre of the National Federation Reform Council will be the National Cabinet. Regular meetings will continue to be conducted and for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic, National Cabinet will continue to meet every two weeks. Once the pandemic is over, it will call monthly meetings to drive its single agenda - to create jobs.
Speaking about the release of the new model, Prime Minister Scott Morrison had said “This new model will streamline processes and avoid endless meetings that do not result in action. This is a congestion busting process that will get things done with a single focus on creating jobs.”
